    • Amado Huizar – What You See is What You Get — Your Youth/Student Ministry reflects what is before them. That is you, your lifestyle, and your team. How can you be your best for them? Are you utilizing your strengths and maintaining a healthy life for a healthy ministry? They are not looking for a rockstar, but a leader.
    • Wesley & Lindsey Stephens – Balance Before Burnout – Discover strategies to balance our lives while serving the ministry, taking care of our families, and excelling in our careers. Balancing these areas of life can be challenging and we often try to do more than we can handle. Failure to balance these areas of life can lead to burnout, frustration, and resentment. We need to learn how to prioritize, delegate, and manage our time effectively.
    • AJ Holloway – Consistent Leaders  The temptation for many entering into student ministry is to focus on relevance (which has its place) however, what teens and young adults alike do not know to tell you is that they really need a leader that is consistent or as Paul put it, “Steadfast and immoveable…” In this lab session we will discuss how to create a culture within your student ministry that breeds future pillars of the church.
  • Lab Sessions # 2
    • Cullen Chrestman – Hyphen Reformation – The goal of all ministries is movement towards God’s mission of redemption. This goal cannot be accomplished through gatherings, hangouts, and meeting rooms. In this session we will discuss the need for Hyphen to serve as a deployment center, not a storage facility.
    • Wesley & Lindsey Stephens – Aligning Our Vision – Your lead pastor is responsible for setting the direction, tone, and overall vision for the church. As student pastors, we play a vital role in ensuring that we as well as students are connected to the pastor’s God-given vision. That is why it is incredibly critical that our vision lines up with our pastor’s vision, so we can work together towards the same kingdom mission.
    • Matthew Smith – How We Do It! – Learn adaptable processes and programming strategies that can be customized to fit the unique needs and resources of youth ministries, regardless of size. Discover how to maximize impact, efficiency, and effectiveness while maintaining a focus on discipleship, community, and spiritual growth.
  • Lab Sessions # 3
    • Tim Zuniga – Building killer teams – Whether you are leading a small youth group or a large ministry, the key to success lies in effective team development.  Just as Jesus modeled the importance of a strong team, learn six secrets to building killer teams as He did.  Your ministry’s success hinges on this vital skill; you cannot fulfill your leadership potential without it.
    • Cullen Chrestman – Youth Work is Hyphen Work – Our society seeks to isolate young people from wisdom for the purpose of indoctrination. Our youth will not make it through life in this world unless we integrate them into the storied wisdom of the adults in the church. In this session we will discuss the work of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and the need for generational cross-pollination.
    • Matthew Smith – Enhancing Relational Ministry – Dive into the heart of youth ministry as we explore the art of building authentic connections with parents, students, and volunteers. Get ready for some down-to-earth tips and fresh insights on keeping relationships front and center in your youth ministry. Let us bring back the fun and impact of relational youth work together!
