I preached last week "Accepting the Anointing". People in Nazareth didnât accept Jesusâ teaching in the temple. The Bible says they were all filled with wrath when Jesus made the statement that the prophesies in Isaiah had been fulfilled in the mist of them. They didnât accept Jesus because they had seen Jesus all their lives. The next city Jesus went to was Capernaum. He healed the man with a unclean spirit and all the people were amazed. Then He healed Simons mother in law and they brought people with sickness and Jesus laid hands on them and they were all healed. Why was Jesus accepted in Capernaum and not Nazareth? Whats the difference? The response of the people. They accepted the anointing. Maybe if there was more response in our services than maybe there would be more healings, miracles, out pouring of the HG.
