Instagram has exploded onto the social media scene, and why not? Itâs all about pictures. Weâve heard some pretty smart people talk about how important images are. In this series we take some of the most popular hashtags used on Instagram and relate them to the Good News of Jesus Christ.

The most needed â often the least used. The truth is that we often put a filter on the truth. We want to show God in a favorable light, or view His Word in a way that is convenient. This lesson looks at ripping the filters off of the #bible and living the Word out loud.

On Instagram this hashtag means that an image was admittedly photoshopped â meaning the actual picture was changed. When it comes to our lives we need to not just apply a filter that doesnât really change us, just changes how we appear â we need to let the power of God edit our lives and create us into what we should be

ThrowBackThursday or #tbt is a fun tradition on Thursdays to post images of long ago. As Christians we need to remember what God has done in our lives, and where we came from. We are overcomers by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. We need to throw down a throw back every now and then.

Outfit of the day is a hashtag used when someone shows off their outfit that they are usually quite proud of. We need to be showing off our identity as a Christian, not just on special days, but on every day. The bible says to âput onâ the Lord Jesus Christ, and we need to show the world who we are and what we believe. There is no shame in this game.
