The world has an agenda to make Homosexuality accepted as a human rights issue similar to racial and gender issues. This lesson/series lays the foundation that we are commanded to LOVE SINNERS but also to hate sin. We cannot afford to confuse this by hating sinners! It then debunks many of the myths associated with homosexuality and describes the nature of this particular sin. This really can be taught in two parts, as it is long. PLEASE CHECK THE RESOURCES CITED – there is a LOT more information that can be discussed, but I didn’t have the time to be more detailed.
Most sources should be cited, although some may not be. I recommend reading the book “Gay Conversations” (http://www.amazon.com/Conversations-Nello-Possobon-Hope-Homosexual/dp/0971985235) Which is co-written by a former homosexual, who talks about the struggles of the addiction and how he was not born that way but was confused by mixed messages, his environment, and lies from Satan. This message REALLY should be split into TWO parts. If I were to do it again I definitely would have split it into two parts and read some of the testimony of Nello Possobon.
